Hydroxycitric Acid (HCA)

Hydroxycitric Acid (HCA) comes from the rind of a small pumpkin-shaped fruit, Garcinia Cambogia. The dried fruit rind of G. Cambogia, also known as Malabar Tamarind, is commonly used in Southeast Asia (particularly southern India) as a flavoring agent and food preservative. It is also used in Indian folk medicine for gastrointestinal complaints. HCA is the principal acid in G. Cambogia and makes up to 16% of content of dried fruit. It is a powerful inhibitor of lipid synthesis while suppressing appetite and increasing fat oxidation during exercise, thus helping to reduce body weight gain and food intake. BRAND’S® product with HCA has been proven in clinical studies to increase metabolic rate and burn body fat in individuals after being consumed for two weeks.
